About the artist:

Katie Nack is a mostly self-taught artist, only taking a few workshops to learn new mediums throughout the last 13 years. She has taught classes while working at the now closed JSM Bead Coop as well as teaching Childrens art classes and make in takes while working for Micheals as a teenager. She is currently going to school to become a middle school art teacher. She has worked with most mediums in the arts, ebbing and flowing through her hyper focusing on each one. Currently she is focused on Lino cutting and printmaking as well as painting with watercolor She makes herself. Using found material to turn into pigments or watercolor pans is her passion with this medium. Living on Lake Michigan with her 2 kids and husband, you might find spots on the beach where they have made paint with rocks and water. She believes anyone can be an artist and facilitating this spark for others is her main motivation.
